About the Author
I started writing 13 years ago when I was a stay-at-home mom to my
oldest son. I always knew that I wanted to write a book so I began
writing my first romantic suspense. I submitted it to a small
publishing house and was ultimately rejected. But the editor's words
encouraged me and kept me writing. She said I had a talent for
storytelling and if I worked on the craft of writing I would someday
sell a book. I took that advice to heart and worked for many years.
Life knocked me off track for a few years but I never quit.
As for why I write Inspirational Romance...that wasn't always an easy
choice. I knew God was telling me He wanted me to write
Inspirational fiction but I fought against it and went my own way. I
came really close to selling and ended up with nothing. I always felt
Him leading me in another direction and then finally I realized I was
only going to be successful if I listened to Him and did what He
wanted for me. That's when I sold my first book!
I currently live in Texas and I am a second grade teacher and a
mother of 2 sons, 2 stepdaughters and 2 Boxer dogs. I spend all of
my free time with kids, grading papers and writing.
